Alpaca Regsitry Inc. (ARI)
Alpaca Registry, Inc. (ARI), headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska, is the largest, non-profit alpaca pedigree registry in the world. ARI (the only organization of its kind) was created by the alpaca industry association for the benefit of alpaca breeders in the United States, but expanded to also register alpacas in Canada and other countries throughout the world.
North West Camelid Foundation (NWCF) From its beginning in 1987, the Foundation’s mission has grown into a concerted effort to support the camelid medical research at Oregon State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and to provide funds to maintain the herd of llamas and alpacas available to them. The NWCF is very proud to have played a role in the outstanding reputation OSU has obtained over the years for their camelid research and the valuable opportunity they provide for veterinary students to have hands-on education in that field.
Willamette Women's Farmer Network (WWFN)
WWFN is a community of women from central and southern Willamette Valley of Oregon, that are actively engaged in farm and ranch activities. They join together to further their knowledge of farm and ranch related issues both in the market place and in agricultural practices. They work together to enhance economic self-sufficiency through shared experience, resources, and visions of how their farm work will impact themselves and our community.
The EWES are a bunch of sheepish people meeting every 1st, 3rd and 5th (if there is one) Wednesday of each month to spin, knit, chat, eat, drink, show & tell.
